Developed and integrated an Audio Metadata Extraction feature into the gchq/CyberChef repository, enabling the application to extract structured metadata from a wide range of audio file formats. This addition enhanced CyberChef’s media processing pipeline, supporting improved data enrichment and governance workflows for users handling audio content. The work involved full stack development with a focus on JavaScript and audio processing techniques, ensuring the new operation produced reliable metadata for downstream analytics. Documentation and test coverage were expanded to support maintainability and ease of adoption, reflecting a methodical approach to delivering business value through enhanced media file handling capabilities.
