Worked on the laravel/wayfinder repository to address a backend data integrity issue by fixing the mapping for the int4 data type. Focused on backend development using PHP and Laravel, the work involved updating Parameter.php to ensure int4 was correctly included in the number map. This change aligned backend data types with their TypeScript representations on the frontend, preventing type mismatches and improving API reliability for consumers. The solution was validated within the repository’s type-mapping workflow to minimize regression risks and maintain consistency between backend and frontend systems, demonstrating careful attention to cross-stack data handling and robust backend engineering practices.
