Developed and delivered the Home Connect Cleaning Robots Integration for the openhab-addons repository, enabling seamless support for cleaning robots through enhanced API integration. The work focused on automatic detection of device types, such as Roxxter and Spotless, by analyzing available programs and integrating various cleaning modes and functionalities. Leveraging Java and IoT development skills, the implementation improved the openHAB platform’s ability to interact with Home Connect-enabled devices in home automation scenarios. The contribution included clear code sign-off for improved traceability and collaboration, demonstrating a methodical approach to feature delivery and a strong understanding of API integration within smart home ecosystems.
