Contributed Malay language translations to the jellyfin/jellyfin open source project, expanding accessibility for Malay-speaking users. The work focused on localization and internationalization, utilizing JavaScript and the Weblate translation platform to streamline the translation workflow. By integrating Malay translations through Git-based contribution tracking, the developer enhanced the project’s readiness for broader user adoption in new regions. No bug fixes were required during this period, allowing full attention to be given to the translation feature. This contribution strengthened the localization process for future updates and demonstrated effective collaboration within the open source community, supporting ongoing accessibility improvements for Jellyfin users.
