During June 2025, Dpop enhanced the Downloads v2 UI test suite in the mozilla/gecko-dev repository, focusing on improving test coverage and stability for Android. Leveraging Kotlin, Java, and Espresso, Dpop developed new UI tests for download filters by type and file sharing, adapting the suite to recent UI changes such as the replacement of dialogs with download snackbars. Outdated test ignores were removed to reduce false negatives and improve CI reliability. This work aligned closely with ongoing bug-tracking efforts, resulting in more robust automation and better collaboration with QA, ultimately reducing release risk for Downloads v2 features.
