Worked on enhancing TV series metadata in the jellyfin/jellyfin repository, focusing on backend development using C# and Markdown for documentation. Delivered features that derive the ProductionYear field for TV series from the FirstAirDate, improving metadata accuracy and consistency across clients. Updated the TmdbSeriesProvider to populate this new field, which streamlined search, filtering, and presentation of TV content while reducing manual metadata corrections. Additionally, contributed to project documentation by updating the CONTRIBUTORS.md file to recognize team efforts. All changes were tracked with clear commit messages, supporting maintainability and collaboration for future iterations within the project’s codebase.
