Developed MySQL service support within the AVN Service CLI for the aiven/aiven-client repository, enabling users to manage and connect to MySQL services directly through the command-line interface. The work involved implementing handling for the 'mysql' service type and creating a helper function to construct the necessary CLI arguments for seamless MySQL instance connections. Leveraging Python for backend and CLI development, the solution expanded the CLI’s end-to-end service lifecycle management capabilities while reducing the need for manual configuration. This feature enhanced the usability and flexibility of the AVN Service CLI, supporting more efficient workflows for MySQL service management.
