Eli Bezerra developed an Accessible Subscriptions Table for the zendesk/copenhagen_theme repository, focusing on improving accessibility for a core billing feature. Using HTML and Handlebars, Eli enhanced the table’s structure by adding header scope attributes and accessible naming and linking, which ensures accurate reading order and context for users of assistive technologies. This work addressed screen reader usability, making navigation through the subscriptions workflow more intuitive and compliant with accessibility standards. The improvements were validated through targeted commits, reflecting a thoughtful approach to front end development and accessibility. Eli’s contribution deepened the repository’s support for inclusive user experiences.
