Worked on the internetarchive/openlibrary repository to enhance the localization of rating labels, focusing on template-level pluralization and translation consistency. Implemented a feature that replaced manual singular and plural logic with the ungettext function in HTML templates, enabling locale-aware plural forms for rating counts. Updated translation templates and macros to support accurate pluralization across multiple languages, directly improving the multilingual user experience. Demonstrated skills in frontend development, internationalization, and template-engine workflows, with a particular emphasis on gettext-based localization.
