
Worked on the agh-space-systems-rover/kalman_robot repository, focusing on enhancing the RSCP protocol to support GPS coordinates, distance measurements, message handling, and rover status reporting. Applied C++ and Python to refine response processing and improve communication between the rover and its control systems. Addressed robustness in the state machine by adding error handling for missing boulder position data and ensuring proper initialization of coordinates, preventing failures when critical information was unavailable. Additionally, extended the rqt_rscp plugin using Qt and ROS to enable publication of ArcRscpRequest messages, streamlining command transmission from the user interface to the rover’s control system.
