Developed the AI Answers feature for Jetpack Search in the Automattic/jetpack repository, delivering an AI-powered search experience with a new dashboard, front-end UI, and a customizable settings tab. The work involved integrating APIs and updating REST workflows using JavaScript and PHP, while reducing dependencies on Gutenberg to streamline adoption. Focus was placed on expanding test coverage, stabilizing integration tests, and performing static analysis cleanups to ensure reliability. Documentation and roadmap artifacts were refined, and security was strengthened by removing unnecessary tokens. The project improved search relevance, configurability, and maintainability, with attention to persistent settings and robust configuration flows.
