Worked on enhancing hardware integration in the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository by delivering Broadcom Milleniob gearbox support and external PHY integration for MillenioB (BCM81356) platforms. Developed a new Docker container and implemented platform-specific configuration using Jinja2 and Shell, enabling the build system to conditionally include the container based on a provided deb package URL. This approach streamlined deployment and upgrade workflows while improving hardware compatibility and readiness for field updates. The work focused on build system configuration and platform integration, reducing manual steps required for hardware support and ensuring smoother deployment processes for MillenioB-based network devices.
