Worked on the drone-runner-aws repository to optimize Nomad timeout handling, aiming to accelerate resource job and initialization phases. Leveraging Go and DevOps practices, the approach involved reducing timeout values to improve job processing speed while maintaining robust CI/CD workflows. After deploying the changes, careful monitoring revealed issues, prompting a disciplined rollback to restore production stability. Throughout the process, detailed commit traceability and documentation were maintained to support future optimization efforts. This work demonstrated a methodical approach to change management in cloud infrastructure, balancing performance improvements with reliability and providing a clear path for safer enhancements in subsequent iterations.
