Worked on the DataDog/terraform-provider-datadog repository to address a critical bug affecting the RUM metric resource. Focused on Terraform provider development using Go and YAML, the work involved implementing plan modifiers to ensure safe resource recreation when key attributes such as filter, group_by, or uniqueness were changed or removed. Developed targeted workarounds for known Terraform plan and apply edge cases, reducing errors and improving compatibility with Terraform lifecycle semantics. Updated test cassettes and test cases to reflect the corrected behavior, enhancing test reliability. Documented all changes to support existing deployments and contributed to a smoother user experience during resource updates.
