During this period, contributed a new UniConv port to the microsoft/vcpkg repository, focusing on enabling seamless cross-platform character encoding conversion for C++ projects. The work involved implementing comprehensive build and install configurations using CMake, managing dependencies, and ensuring accurate licensing metadata for the UniConv library. Collaboration with a co-author facilitated the integration process and adherence to vcpkg’s packaging standards. By expanding the vcpkg ecosystem with this feature, the contribution improved packaging reliability and accelerated downstream integration for projects requiring text encoding support. The effort demonstrated proficiency in C++, CMake, library management, and cross-team coordination within open source workflows.
