
Over a three-month period, contributed backend features to DataDog’s agent-payload and datadog-agent repositories, focusing on reliability and cross-region support. Developed timezone-aware CronJob scheduling by introducing a Timezone field to the CronJobSpec protobuf, standardizing naming conventions, and enhancing deployment predictability. Extended Kubernetes orchestrator checks to collect CronJob time zone data from multiple API versions, improving monitoring accuracy in distributed environments. Enhanced ECS ARN parsing to support AWS GovCloud and China regions, consolidating duplicate logic and adding comprehensive tests to ensure backward compatibility. Work was implemented primarily in Go, leveraging Kubernetes, AWS, and Protobuf to address complex scheduling and regional requirements.
