Worked on the Shopify/rails repository over a two-month period, focusing on backend security and documentation quality. Developed a user session invalidation feature in Ruby on Rails that destroys all active sessions when a password is reset, directly addressing the risk of unauthorized access through lingering session tokens and enhancing account security. Later, shifted focus to technical writing by correcting grammar in the Active Record validations documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency for developers onboarding to the project. Utilized Ruby and Markdown to deliver both code and documentation improvements, demonstrating attention to both security best practices and maintainable, standards-aligned project documentation.
