Worked on the wandb/terraform-aws-wandb repository to deliver a robust upgrade of the Terraform EKS deployment module, focusing on infrastructure as code using Terraform and AWS. Upgraded the AWS EKS Terraform module from version 17 to 20, introducing explicit cluster creator permission handling and expanding support for up to six private subnets across multiple availability zones. Enhanced upgrade safeguards for EKS addons and improved documentation to clarify upgrade paths and ownership semantics. Leveraged HCL and JSON to implement these changes, resulting in more flexible, secure, and scalable EKS deployments with clearer authentication behavior and maintainable configuration for future enhancements.
