Worked on the indigo-iam/iam repository to enhance local development environments and improve container image security. Addressed issues with H2 and MySQL devcontainers by updating Docker Compose configurations and introducing a generic Java development Dockerfile, enabling more reliable local setups for engineers. Focused on hardening Docker image builds by upgrading system packages during the build phase and resolving Dockerfile syntax warnings, which reduced vulnerabilities and improved build stability across environments. Utilized Docker, Docker Compose, and YAML to ensure reproducible and secure deployments. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to DevOps, emphasizing maintainability and reliability in containerized development workflows.
