Worked on the forcedotcom/source-deploy-retrieve repository to address a targeted bug affecting the handling of the ExternalStoragePrvdConfig metadata type. Focused on enhancing the metadata registry by adding support for this type, which improved the reliability of deployment and retrieval processes across Salesforce orgs. Utilized TypeScript and Salesforce Metadata API expertise to ensure the new metadata type was recognized and managed correctly, reducing deployment-time errors and minimizing manual intervention. The update maintained compatibility with existing metadata types and improved the maintainability of the registry, resulting in a more robust CI/CD pipeline and lowering future integration risks for Salesforce development teams.
