João Gabriel developed internationalization support for the WhatsApp list button in the BiteSpeed-Dev/chatwoot repository, focusing on backend enhancements and localization. He updated the base service to consume i18n keys, enabling the button label to be translated dynamically. English and Brazilian Portuguese translations were added using Ruby and YAML, ensuring broader accessibility for diverse user groups. To maintain reliability, he revised the test suite to validate correct i18n key usage during payload generation. This work established a foundation for future localization efforts, demonstrating depth in backend development, internationalization, and testing, while directly improving the app’s usability for international teams and customers.
