Worked on the discourse/discourse repository to enhance the accuracy and reliability of US holiday data within the discourse-calendar plugin. Focused on refactoring and standardizing holiday entries, the work involved removing obsolete or redundant data and aligning the dataset with verified sources. Utilized Ruby and YAML for data management and test updates, ensuring that the revised holiday information was thoroughly validated. Updated the test suite to reflect these changes, which improved coverage and reduced the risk of regressions. This effort enhanced the reliability of calendar-based features for US-based communities, minimizing scheduling errors and user confusion related to holiday observances.
