During August 2025, Jomaxro focused on enhancing the accuracy and reliability of US holiday data within the discourse/discourse repository’s calendar plugin. He refactored the holiday dataset using Ruby and YAML, removing obsolete entries and aligning the data with verified sources to reduce scheduling errors for US-based communities. Jomaxro also updated the associated test suite, leveraging his skills in data management and testing to ensure the revised dataset was thoroughly validated. This work improved the reliability of holiday-based features, minimized regression risk, and contributed to a more dependable user experience for communities relying on accurate calendar information in Discourse.
