Worked on the nl-design-system/rvo repository to enhance accessibility for mobile navigation by delivering a feature that introduced keyboard focus styles to the mobile menu toggle and links. This was achieved using design tokens and SCSS, ensuring that the mobile menu met WCAG guidelines and improved usability for keyboard users. The changes were integrated into the React package through a prepared changeset, reflecting a workflow that emphasized traceability and cross-team collaboration. By focusing on token-driven styling and accessibility best practices, the work established a more consistent and accessible baseline for the design system’s mobile navigation without addressing any major bugs during this period.
