Kevin Wen Yu focused on enhancing TriliumNext/Trilium’s accessibility by delivering comprehensive Chinese localization features. He implemented full Simplified Chinese UI translations and nearly complete Traditional Chinese export translations, ensuring broad language coverage for Chinese-speaking users. Using JSON and a Weblate-based workflow, Kevin integrated translation validation and maintainability directly into the repository, supporting ongoing localization efforts. His work centered on front end development and translation, with careful documentation of the process to facilitate future locale expansions. Over the month, Kevin’s contributions deepened Trilium’s international readiness, addressing product roadmap goals and laying groundwork for scalable, high-quality localization across additional languages.
