Worked on expanding localization for the jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv repository by delivering a Malayalam translation update, translating 287 out of 630 user interface strings to reach 45.5% completion. Leveraged Android development skills and XML to integrate new translations, using the Weblate workflow for progress tracking and external review via a dedicated Translate-URL. This effort improved accessibility for Malayalam-speaking users and laid the groundwork for future localization milestones. The approach established a maintainable pipeline combining Weblate and Git, supporting iterative translation updates and informing quality assurance and release planning, with a focus on enhancing the localized user experience on Android TV.
