During December 2025, Evaleriano developed a Wear Battery Traces Tracking Plugin for the google/perfetto repository, focusing on performance engineering and observability for Wear OS devices. The plugin, written in TypeScript, enables tracking of Wear critical user journeys and raw battery gauge data by leveraging statsd atoms, providing richer battery analytics for developers. By setting the plugin as the default data source, Evaleriano improved startup performance and streamlined developer investigations, with startup times measured at approximately 1 ms without data sources and 250 ms with them. This work enhanced data visualization and performance monitoring, supporting more effective root-cause analysis on Wear devices.
