During November 2025, Lucaa enhanced the Like Button user experience in the xwiki/xwiki-platform repository by redesigning the interface to feature a two-element UI with a heart button and likers link, introducing a new heart_empty icon, and refining interaction feedback. The work involved migrating translations to the l10n service, improving localization maintainability and internationalization readiness. Lucaa updated iconography using FontAwesome and Silk sets, modernized JavaScript code by adopting let declarations, and aligned XML formatting with current standards. The project demonstrated depth in UI/UX design, JavaScript, and Java, with collaborative, release-ready code that addressed both usability and maintainability.
