Worked on the jellyfin/jellyfin-web repository to deliver Brazilian Portuguese localization, enabling users to navigate the web application in pt-BR and improving accessibility for Portuguese-speaking audiences. The approach involved updating and adding localized UI strings through Weblate, using JSON to manage translation data and ensuring seamless integration with the existing internationalization workflow. Focused on front end development, the work validated the end-to-end localization pipeline without introducing breaking changes. This feature enhanced user experience and broadened the platform’s market reach, laying groundwork for future internationalization and localization efforts within the Jellyfin Web project and supporting ongoing global accessibility initiatives.
