Worked on hardware design improvements for the ISSUIUC/ISS-PCB repository, focusing on the CAM-MK2 board. The main feature involved optimizing CAN bus routing to enhance communication reliability and fault isolation, as well as redesigning power management circuitry to integrate power mux and battery sense routing. These updates improved system robustness and power integrity without requiring software modifications, supporting safer field deployments and easier future scaling. All changes were implemented using KiCad for PCB layout and hardware design, with clear, auditable commit history. The work emphasized maintainability and traceability, ensuring that hardware updates could be rapidly reviewed and integrated.
