During September 2025, Marc Turgeon curated metadata for the clearlydefined/curated-data repository, focusing on improving license clarity and package identification for the logassert PyPI package. He created a dedicated logassert.yaml file using YAML, capturing precise package coordinates and enforcing an LGPL-3.0-only license declaration across all revisions. This work leveraged his skills in data curation, licensing, and package management to enhance downstream automation and open source compliance. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, Marc’s contribution addressed the need for transparent license metadata, supporting better discovery and compliance processes for open source software consumers and maintainers.
