Worked on the geneontology/go-site repository to implement a Gene Ontology rule and upgrade the Ontobio Python package, ensuring the pipeline’s compatibility and automation for upcoming data releases. Used Python and DevOps skills to transition the rule from approval to live validation, directly supporting end-to-end automation. Addressed a bug affecting HTML output by refining the output_html function, so rule descriptions render as plain text and special characters display correctly. Focused on dependency management, scripting, and HTML generation, the work improved both backend reliability and user-facing output, with clear traceability and maintainability in the codebase over a two-month period.
