Developed and delivered the initial Chromium Trace Navigation UI Plugin for the google/perfetto repository, focusing on enhancing navigation of Chromium trace data. The work involved building a TypeScript-based plugin that enables users to pin relevant navigation tracks and create dedicated workspaces for focused trace analysis, streamlining the inspection of navigation-related performance data. Leveraging skills in plugin development, trace analysis, and UI development, the developer implemented command registration and workspace scoping to lay the foundation for future navigation tooling. No major bugs were reported during this period, and the groundwork was established for faster triage and improved developer workflows within perfetto.
