Worked on the monarch-initiative/mondo repository to enhance the quality control process for ontology data. Focused on data hygiene by updating the QC pipeline to exclude the term 'premature senesence, non-human animal' through the addition of a new relationship, ensuring that quality checks target only relevant ontology terms. Utilized OBO for ontology management and leveraged git for version control, validating changes through continuous integration workflows. This adjustment reduced noise and false positives in quality assurance reviews, improved the reliability of phenotype term propagation, and supported more accurate downstream analyses, demonstrating a methodical approach to ontology curation and data quality auditing.
