During December 2025, contributed to the jellyfin/jellyfin repository by developing a Flexible Attribute Value Parsing feature that enhanced the system’s ability to interpret attribute values containing curly braces and parentheses. This work focused on strengthening the parsing pipeline to handle complex value formats, thereby improving the robustness and extensibility of path-based metadata extraction. The implementation relied on advanced string parsing techniques and careful edge-case handling, ensuring reliable content cataloging and smoother future enhancements. Utilizing C# for back end development and incorporating unit testing, the contribution demonstrated a methodical, commit-driven approach to expanding the repository’s parsing capabilities without introducing new bugs.
