Worked on the mozilla/gecko-dev repository to streamline the Perftest YAML configuration, focusing on reducing redundancy and simplifying test job definitions. The approach involved removing unnecessary OS prefixes and leveraging existing platform and worker-type definitions, which improved maintainability and reduced the potential for inconsistencies in test configurations. This targeted change enhanced the reliability of the continuous integration process and made future updates to test jobs more straightforward. The work was implemented using YAML and applied principles of configuration management and CI/CD best practices, demonstrating a methodical approach to infrastructure improvement within a large-scale open source codebase over the course of one month.
