Shravya Herle developed IPv6 network configuration support for the gomorpheus/morpheus-plugin-core repository, extending the existing Network model to include fields for IPv6 enabled status, DHCP server, gateway, netmask, DNS addresses, and CIDR. This work was implemented in Java and focused on backend and API development, ensuring that the new IPv6 capabilities were added without disrupting existing IPv4 configurations. By taking an additive approach, Shravya preserved backward compatibility while enabling simultaneous management of both IPv4 and IPv6 networks. The update enhanced the platform’s readiness for modern network operations, reflecting a thoughtful and robust approach to network configuration engineering.

October 2025 (2025-10) monthly summary for gomorpheus/morpheus-plugin-core. Delivered IPv6 network configuration support by extending the Network model with IPv6 fields (IPv6 enabled status, DHCP server, gateway, netmask, DNS primary/secondary, and CIDR). This additive change preserves existing IPv4 configurations while enabling simultaneous IPv6 management. The change is tracked in commit 1684db75eb66f4e069fcf8bb80475231b33b4100.
