Worked on upgrading the PopSift CUDA library within the microsoft/vcpkg repository, focusing on enhancing performance and maintainability. The effort involved updating PopSift to version 0.10.0, removing deprecated patches, and aligning the build system with the latest CMake and CUDA 12.1+ standards. By introducing necessary thrust includes, the developer improved CUDA kernel performance and ensured compatibility with modern GPU toolchains. Although no bugs were reported during this period, the changes reduced technical debt and streamlined future upgrades. The work demonstrated proficiency in C++ development, CMake configuration, and CUDA programming, laying a solid foundation for future GPU-accelerated enhancements.
