Worked on enhancing build reliability for the microsoft/vcpkg repository by addressing macOS compatibility issues with CMake 4. Focused on correcting the quoting of the CMAKE_OSX_SYSROOT variable when appended to compiler flags and enforcing a policy minimum environment variable for CMake version 4.0 and above. This targeted bug fix reduced build failures and improved the stability of both CI and local development environments on macOS. Leveraged expertise in build systems and CMake to deliver a solution with minimal code changes, aligning with existing workflows and reducing risk for downstream users while supporting maintainability and efficient contributor onboarding.
