Worked on the perseus-v2 repository to enhance HiCAN address parsing and output generation, enabling robust handling of system, subsystem, device, group, and parameter addresses while supporting legacy systems and introducing a flat CAN ID lookup for improved data interoperability. Leveraged Python and JSON manipulation to strengthen CAN address mapping and streamline output formats. Additionally, focused on code quality and maintainability in the hi-can-generator project by enforcing PEP 8 compliance, removing unused variables, and simplifying build configuration using Nix scripting. These efforts reduced build complexity, improved packaging hygiene, and laid a foundation for faster, lower-risk development in CAN-related data pipelines.
March 2026 monthly performance: Delivered substantive enhancements to HiCAN address parsing and output generation in perseus-v2, enabling robust handling of system/subsystem/device/group/parameter addresses, legacy system compatibility, and a flat CAN ID lookup. Also completed major code quality and build/config cleanup for hi-can-generator, improving maintainability, packaging hygiene, and reducing build complexity. Overall, the work strengthens data interoperability, speeds future iterations, and reduces risk in CAN-related data pipelines.
