During December 2024, d41zy contributed Danish localization to the jellyfin/jellyfin repository, enabling Danish UI strings and expanding accessibility for Danish-speaking users. They utilized Weblate to deliver direct, traceable translations and established a workflow for scalable internationalization. Their work focused on localization and translation, leveraging Danish language expertise to ensure accurate and maintainable string integration. By integrating Danish support, d41zy improved onboarding for new users and laid the foundation for future multilingual expansion with minimal engineering overhead. The contribution was feature-focused, with no reported regressions, and demonstrated a methodical approach to internationalization within an open-source media server environment.
