During February 2026, Vivy Wang developed modular VR sensor configuration tables and enhanced pre-read and write-protect handling for ISL and XDPE voltage regulators in the facebook/OpenBIC repository. Using C programming and embedded systems expertise, Vivy implemented differentiation of VR types and introduced safe write-protect management with XDPE pre- and post-operation hooks. The work included a focused validation plan, covering 12V-cycle power tests and sensor-threshold verification, to ensure subsystem reliability. These changes improved the maintainability and reliability of VR monitoring by reducing read/write conflicts and clarifying hardware interfacing, demonstrating depth in sensor integration and embedded hardware development.
February 2026: Delivered modular VR sensor configuration tables and enhanced pre-read/write-protect handling for ISL and XDPE VRs in the facebook/OpenBIC repository. Implemented differentiation of VR types and safe write-protect management with XDPE pre/post hooks. PR #2674 merged; validated through a focused VR health test plan including 12V-cycle power tests and sensor-threshold verification. Result: more reliable VR Monitoring, reduced risk of read/write conflicts, and improved maintainability of the VR subsystem.
