During May 2025, Samit contributed to the jellyfin/jellyfin repository by delivering Marathi language localization, expanding the platform’s accessibility for Marathi-speaking users. He integrated translation assets sourced from Weblate, establishing a reproducible workflow for ongoing internationalization and translation updates. Working primarily with JavaScript, Samit focused on localization and open source contribution, ensuring that the Marathi UI support was seamlessly incorporated into the existing codebase. Although no bugs were fixed during this period, his work addressed the need for broader language support and improved the project’s localization pipeline, laying the groundwork for future translation efforts and wider market adoption.
