Worked on the jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv repository to deliver complete Chinese (Simplified) translations for the Android TV application, focusing on playback settings, codec preferences, and HDR options. Utilized XML and Android development skills to implement and validate 616 UI strings through Weblate, ensuring full localization coverage and seamless integration with the existing interface. The effort enhanced accessibility for Chinese-speaking users, broadening the app’s reach and improving onboarding and usability. Emphasized internationalization and localization best practices, maintaining consistency across translation keys and preserving UI flow. No bugs were addressed during this period, with work concentrated on feature delivery and language support.
