Developed a production-ready Helm-based deployment for the umap-project/umap repository, enabling streamlined Kubernetes deployments with integrated CloudNativePG database management. Leveraging skills in CI/CD, Helm, and Kubernetes, the work introduced a versioned Helm chart supporting deployment, service, ingress, persistent volumes, secrets, and service accounts, all with customizable default values. Automated chart packaging and publishing were implemented using Makefile and Shell, establishing a CI-friendly workflow that reduces manual steps and accelerates onboarding. Comprehensive documentation and sensible defaults were provided to simplify customization and operator handoffs, resulting in a scalable, repeatable deployment process that supports consistent environments across multiple Kubernetes clusters.
