Worked on expanding Python version support within the cashapp/hermit-packages repository, enabling compatibility with Python 3.14.0 and 3.14.3. Leveraged Python development and system configuration skills to introduce Linux arm64 platform-specific overrides, accommodating new build optimizations such as profile-guided optimization. Updated SHA256 digests in the Hermit manifest to ensure package integrity and secure distribution. Validated the end-to-end installation process locally, confirming correct version deployment and reliable cross-platform behavior. This work streamlined the onboarding of new Python versions for users, strengthened the packaging workflow, and maintained verifiable, secure packages using HCL and modern package management practices.
