Worked on enhancing the build system and dependency management for the kieranknowles1/csc8508-team-project repository, focusing on improving build robustness and cross-platform consistency. Integrated vcpkg to streamline dependency resolution and updated the .gitignore to exclude build artifacts, specifically targeting .vs files. Configured and documented a CMake toolchain file to standardize builds across different environments, and addressed reliability issues in the configure step. Utilized skills in build systems, CMake, and dependency management, with implementation in Batch scripting. The work reduced build failures, accelerated developer onboarding, and established a scalable foundation for future dependency management within the project’s development workflow.
