Developed a foundational Android tracing configuration for the google/perfetto repository, focusing on standardizing system-level performance tracing across Android devices. The work involved creating the android_syshealth.cfg file using cfg language, which defines data sources and buffer settings to streamline observability and improve onboarding efficiency for developers. Leveraging skills in configuration management and system performance analysis, the developer established a reusable baseline for Android tracing, enabling more consistent and reliable trace data collection. This contribution laid the groundwork for future enhancements by simplifying recommended trace configurations, ultimately supporting more effective performance analysis and diagnostics within the Perfetto ecosystem for Android platforms.
