During June 2025, Durst developed a configuration for the mozilla/jira-bugzilla-integration repository to enable automatic syncing of items to the UNIFFI Jira project. Leveraging configuration management skills and working primarily with YAML, Durst added explicit parameters and status mappings in config.prod.yaml to distinguish UNIFFI workflows from those of DISCO. This approach established a foundation for end-to-end automated data flow between Jira and Bugzilla, increasing traceability and reducing manual triage. Although the work focused on a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, it demonstrated depth in designing robust configuration logic to support future automation and workflow differentiation.
