Dan Hoizner developed the initial Spruce landing page and network deployment for the spruceUI/spruceOS repository, establishing a foundation for accessible Spruce services. He integrated the lightweight darkhttpd web server to serve the new landing page, using Shell scripting and system administration skills to automate deployment with setup scripts and configuration copying. The landing page, built with HTML and JavaScript, displays real-time network service status, enabling users to quickly verify service health from the UI. This work focused on infrastructure and deployment, laying the groundwork for future UI enhancements and improved service discovery, and demonstrated depth in web development and automation.
