Worked on streamlining image tagging within the hortonworks/cloudbreak-images repository by removing the cloudera-usage-type tag from the GCP image burning workflow. This change standardized metadata tagging across Google Cloud Platform environments, reducing the risk of drift and improving auditability for image promotions. The solution was implemented using Shell scripting and leveraged core Cloud Engineering and DevOps practices to ensure traceability and maintainability. By providing a clear rollback path through commit CB-30646, the work simplified future enforcement of tagging policies and contributed to more reliable environment promotions, reflecting a focused approach to infrastructure consistency and operational clarity within GCP workflows.
